Two Good Ears with Rich Reardin is a podcast that explores the music world from every angle—introducing new artists, uncovering the people behind the music, and revisiting legendary stories. It’s a space for sharing experiences and perspectives, where conversations flow freely between musicians, producers, engineers, and passionate fans. The show grew out of In Search of a Song, a long-running public radio series created in 2005 with guitarist Jason Wilber (John Prine), which produced over 700 episodes for PRX (Public Radio Exchange).
Now, Two Good Ears (TGE) carries that spirit forward, expanding into fresh interviews, pro-audio insights, music history, and lively discussions with guest hosts and friends who have lived and breathed the art of making music.

Todd Snider was a sharp witted troubadour whose songs blended humor, heart, and hard truth. Sadly, Todd passed away recently, which inspired me to present this cool interview we did in 2010. In this episode of Two Good Ears, we revisit an interview recorded at WFHB in Bloomington, Indiana, just before Todds show at the Buskirk Chumley Theater. Hosted by Jason Wilber—John Prine’s longtime guitarist and close friend of Todd’s—the conversation captures their humor, friendship, and deep musical bond. What began as In Search of a Song on PRX, then grew into Beyond a Song, now continues here as a podcast preserving timeless conversations with artists who shape the soundtrack of our lives.
